Dutch swear words

Feces. Used to describe something worthless or as a prefix for an annoying person.

The ultimate taboo word in Dutch. Used as a curse, an insult ('kankerhond'), or as a profound intensifier ('kankergoed' = fucking great).

Typhus. Used to wish a terrible disease on someone or to complain about a severe problem ('tyfusweer' = typhus weather / shitty weather).

Tuberculosis (phthisis). Used frequently as an exclamation indicating surprise, pain, or as an intensifier.

Cholera (spelled chronologically as kolera/klere). Used predominantly as an adjective/prefix to mean annoying or bothersome.

Female genitalia. The most common exclamation for when things go wrong.

Male genitalia. Used to call a man a jerk or an idiot.

Scrotum. The standard strong insult for an obnoxious or mean man.

The classic religious curse, invoking God to damn the speaker.

A person suffering from tuberculosis. Used to describe a deeply terrible or malicious person.

A person suffering from cancer.

Direct literal term for prostitute. Used heavily as a slur against women.

A combination of the worst disease prefix and a sexual insult.

A sexually promiscuous woman.

Homophobic slur for a gay man.

Technically the neutral word for homosexual, but heavily weaponized by youths as a general insult for cowardice or stupidity.

The female equivalent of 'klootzak', combining 'kloot' (scrotum) and 'wijf' (wife/broad).

A soft, flat food. Used to describe someone who is being silly, foolish, or clumsy.
