เหี้ย (hia)
Literally the water monitor lizard. The ultimate Thai swear word. Historically, these lizards ate villagers' chickens, making them universally hated.
ไอ้เหี้ย (ai hia)
The male-directed version of 'hia'. Used to aggressively insult a man.
ลูกกะหรี่ (luk karee)
Son or daughter of a prostitute.
เวร (wen)
Bad karma manifesting in the present. Used when something unfortunate happens.
เปรต (pret)
In Buddhist mythology, a pret is a cursed, impossibly tall ghost with a needle-thin mouth, suffering eternal hunger.
อีเหี้ย (ee hia)
