Korean swear words
씨발 (ssibal)
The most ubiquitous Korean swear word. Originally referred to a prostitute or incest, it is now an all-purpose swear similar to the English 'fuck'.
개새끼 (gaesaekki)
A harsh personal insult directed at males. Uses the degrading animal classifier 'gae' (dog) with 'saekki' (offspring).
미친놈 (michinnom)
Refers to a man acting irrationally or insanely.
미친년 (michinnyeon)
The female equivalent of michinnom. Highly offensive slur for women acting irrationally.
좆밥 (jotbap)
Describes someone who is extremely weak, worthless, or easily defeated.
병신 (byeongsin)
Ableist slur originally meaning someone with a physical or mental disability. Used to call someone a complete idiot.
지랄 (jiral)
Used to describe someone acting erratically, overreacting, or spewing nonsense.
꺼져 (kkeojyeo)
A harsh command telling someone to go away immediately.
삥뜯다 (bbingtteutda)
Slang for violently extorting lunch money from weaker students or people.
화냥년 (hwanyangnyeon)
Extreme historical slut-shaming slur.
지랄발광 (jiralbalgwang)
An intensified version of jiral meaning someone is going completely and publicly insane or overreacting wildly.
개소리말고 (gaesorimalgo)
A command telling someone to skip the nonsense and get to the real point.
관종 (gwanjong)
Short for 'Gwansim jongja'. Refers to someone who is desperate for internet fame or attention, often acting foolishly to get it.
죽여버린다 (jugyeobeorinda)
A direct death threat. The 'beorinda' suffix implies doing the action thoroughly and with no remorse.
뒤져 (dwijyeo)
From the verb 'dwijida' (to die - used only for animals or highly disrespectfully for humans).
패죽인다 (paejuginda)
A violent threat to beat someone until they die.
싸가지 (ssagaji)
Usually 'ssagaji eopda' (having no sprout) meaning having no manners or respect for elders.
닥쳐 (dakchyeo)
A forceful and aggressive way to tell someone to stop talking.
